Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell is beginning to have a strong following for how good he has played so far in his first season in the NBA. Entering last June’s draft not as one of the highly-touted prospects, he landed with the Salt Lake City team after being traded by the Denver Nuggets who took him with the 13th overall pick.

Mitchell has since proven that he is a future cornerstone of the Jazz and could even win this season’s Rookie of the Year Award.

The Louisville product’s popularity grew further this past weekend when he won the Slam Dunk Contest after besting Larry Nance Jr. of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the final round. He was also seen sporting his practice bag with what appeared to be his signature logo, prompting his fan, Nick Allan Jarvis, to create a Spiderman comic book cover with Mitchell starring in it.

With how impressive Mitchell's performances have been this season so far, it not surprising why he is gaining more fans by the day. The comic book cover also goes to show how dedicated some of them are in making artwork for their favorite players.

Mitchell has a Twitter handle of “spidadmitchell” which makes it known that he likes to be associated with Spiderman, who could be his favorite comic book hero.

It’s unclear if the Jazz rookie has seen the work made by his fan, but it will also be interesting to find out his reaction to it as, clearly, a lot of effort was put in to make the comic book cover look as good as how it turned out.
