Since the start of the season, Donovan Mitchell has continued to impress with his solid performances for the Utah Jazz night in and night out. Despite being the 13th pick in last June’s draft, he is now one of the leaders for the Rookie of the Year award, establishing himself as a cornerstone of the franchise for the coming years.

The Louisville product is also slowly building a strong following with his solid play. He even had a successful All-Star Weekend, winning the Slam Dunk Contest, and having a good game for the USA squad in the Rising Stars Challenge.

During the lone practice for the exhibition match, Mitchell was even seen sporting his bag which had a spider artwork that had the letter M in the middle, believed to be his signature logo as posted by Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Mitchell’s Twitter handle is “spidadmitchell” which makes it clear that he prefers to be given a nickname associated with spiders. He does have the ability to move really fast on the court and crawl to the heart of the defense, making him worthy of being compared to the crawling arthropods.

The Jazz shooting guard is a sponsored athlete of Adidas and has been rocking some of their latest shoe releases this year. While he still does not have his own signature kicks yet, that may not be the case for long as he is proving that he deserves to have one as one of the frontrunners for the top rookie plum.
