The Brooklyn Nets have become one of the bottom dwelling teams in the league following back-to-back 60-loss seasons.

However, this hasn't derailed veteran guard Jeremy Lin from making a bold proclamation during a recent interview while arriving in Taiwan on Saturday, according to Nets Daily.

“We’re making the playoffs. I don’t care what anybody else tells me.”

Although this is quite a huge prediction from the 28-year-old, it's not as far-fetched as it sounds as the Eastern Conference has gotten significantly weaker this offseason with the departure of several All-Stars in Jimmy Butler, Paul George, and Paul Millsap all heading to the Western Conference.

This has potentially opened up a window for the Nets to make a significant jump next season. Despite losing their leading scorer in Brook Lopez, the team has acquired a potential new face of the franchise in third-year guard D'Angelo Russell.

The Nets also have other young talent such as Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Caris LeVert, who could develop into key contributors to the team this upcoming season. Much of this will depend on their young roster to show huge growth, but it at least shows that the Nets could be one of the teams on the rise in the Eastern Conference.
