The Kansas City Chiefs made a splash with the signing of running back Le'Veon Bell. It is safe to say that the move has not gone unnoticed by New York Jets head coach Adam Gase.

Bell wasted no time in signing with a contender after his release from the Jets. Regardless, Gase said he is simply focused on the team's Week 6 matchup versus the Miami Dolphins, per Al Iannazzone of Newsday:

Although Gase may may have gotten word about the recent events around Bell, he has good reason to be focused on the task at hand. After all, he does not have much time to worry about former plays with his job hanging in the balance following an 0-5 start to the 2020 NFL season.

Even if Gase opts to deflect any more questions regarding Bell, their fallout during such a short stint will not be easily forgotten by the fans. Their struggles this season have only served to magnify all the dysfunction currently plaguing the team's locker room.

Fortunately, things are looking up for Bell following an underwhelming stint in New York. He will now have an opportunity to play an integral role on offense for a bona fide contender.

The Jets' decision to release Bell have led some to believe that this was the team's way of reaffirming their belief in Gase. Regardless, his days may also very well be numbered should they continue to struggle. There has been little evidence to suggest that a potential resurgence is on the way in Week 6.
