Wednesday morning, New York Jets head coach Adam Gase delivered an update on their star linebacker C.J. Mosley. The linebacker has been out since he dominated in Week 1 for the short period before he injured his groin.

The 27-year-old, sixth-year pro looked like he was on his way to another Pro Bowl season as he had totaled six combined tackles, a fumble recovery, and a pick-six in the only game he played all season.

The Jets are currently reeling, starting off the season 0-4 and having to rely on their third-string quarterback in Luke Falk as Sam Darnold and Trevor Siemian have both missed essentially the entire season.

With Mosley doubtful for this week's game against the Dallas Cowboys, they will again continue to struggle with the pass defense, sitting in the bottom half of the league. While the defense will and has missed Mosley's presence, it has been the offensive side of the ball that has really taken a nosedive.

Their touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles was only their second offensive score of the season. Although the Mosley news was disappointing, they will get another important piece that has also missed every game since Week 1: quarterback Sam Darnold.

Getting Darnold back will most definitely help correct some of their offensive woes, but this Jets team is riddled with problems. The big offseason additions of Bell and Mosley have not produced in the ways they had been expecting or just haven't seen the field for more than a game. Once the Jets are able to get healthy, then we will be able to make a fair assessment of who this team really is.
