The Green Bay Packers were given an opportunity to make the playoffs in their Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears, and they took advantage of their shot and defeated the Bears 17-9. Quarterback Jordan Love threw 2 TD passes in the regular-season finale, and he was razor sharp in leading the Packers to their third straight victory.

Green Bay earned the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff structure and they will play the No. 2 seed Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Love played extremely well against the Bears, as he completed 27 of 32 passes for 316 yards. In addition to his 2 TD passes, he kept it clean on the interception side of the ledger.

Running back Aaron Jones punished the Bears with 22 carries for 111 yards, while wide receiver Jayden Reed had 4 receptions for 112 yards. Wideout Dontayvion Wicks caught Love's TD passes.

The Packers had struggled to play consistently throughout much of the season, but they won their last 3 games to qualify for the postseason. Their last 2 games against the Vikings and Bears were clearly their best all-around efforts of the season, and Love appears to have come into his own as a starting NFL quarterback.

Jordan Love explained how much his team had improved in recent weeks to earn their postseason opportunity.

“It means everything. this is an opportunity we worked for all season long. This was a huge game for us. Our last couple games really have been playoff games. Just proud of this team, how we fought stuck together and put ourselves in position.”

The Packers had a 6-8 record after losing back-to-back games against the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they turned things around in dramatic fashion.
