The Green Bay Packers are returning to the playoffs in the 2023 NFL season after a 17-9 over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

There were many scenarios for the Packers when it came to seeding, but the simplest thing was that it was a win-and-in scenario. The Packers did just that, handling business with a win over the Bears, sweeping the season series.

A few weeks ago, the Packers were in trouble after falling to 6-8 on the season after losses to the New York Giants and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With three wins over the Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings and the Bears, the Packers saved themselves and did just enough to sneak into the playoffs in the NFC.

It was the first year for Jordan Love as the full-time starting quarterback, and while he struggled early on in the season, he progressed well and was a big part of why the Packers made it into the playoffs. Matt LaFleur and the Packers can go into the offseason with some confidence that they have a franchise quarterback in Jordan Love. It would be remarkable to go from Brett Favre, to Aaron Rodgers, then have another successful transition to Love.

The Packers will be on the road in the wild card round, and it will be a big test for Love early on in his career in a hostile environment against the Dallas Cowboys. Love has stepped up on the big stage against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving and on Sunday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. Next week will be an even bigger stage for Love.
