Michigan Wolverines coach Juwan Howard apparently gets a nice little college basketball recruiting benefit thanks to his son, Jett Howard, being all that and a bag of chips.

Let's try to unpack this.

Jett Howard, a four-star prospect in the 2022 college basketball recruiting class, is going to be invited to all sort of top-whatever-camps. In turn, his father, Juwan Howard, the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, can actually circumvent certain NCAA bylaws that would normally prevent him from going (due to whatever restrictions are in place).

This was observed by several different people, but 247Sports' Evan Daniels summed it up rather nicely in a short tweet:

In theory, and put your tinfoil hats on, this could be a huge deal for Michigan.

Juwan Howard can use Jett Howard as a loophole. The latter is friends with whoever are top prospects in whatever recruiting class, with the former talking to them about basketball and stuff — convincing them in the process to join the famed Michigan Wolverines.

Again, tinfoil hat type stuff, but it'll obviously be a narrative some people will want to use.
