Since making his comments to fans about having the option to not watch the current conference finals games if they're not entertained, Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant has received a lot of criticisms for it. Some even felt disrespected with his comments, especially some of the Oklahoma City Thunder‘s fans, who believe that what he said was a subtle shot at them.

However, the former MVP and four-time scoring champion made it clear, via Michael C. Wright of ESPN, that it's not directed at anyone in particular. He also apologized if he disrespected anybody, and added that it's a simple choice to make, and fans are not forced to watch the games, especially if they are blowouts.

“I mean, life can be simple, man. If you don't like the way the game is going, just turn it off. If you're enjoying it, just keep it on. Life is simple. I didn't mean it to disrespect anybody, but if you felt disrespected, I'm sorry. But, if you don't enjoy the game, turn it off [and] turn something else on. If you do, enjoy the rest of it, man.”

The Dubs have won the past two games against the San Antonio Spurs by an average of 24 points, but Durant understands how difficult it is to close out a series. He also knows that their opponents have a lot of pride and will give their all in Game 4 to avoid getting swept.

That said, he is certain the game on Monday night will turn out to be an exciting one, and invited the fans to watch them compete against the Spurs, who are expected to play with a lot of urgency, which should keep the match more competitive.

“Hopefully a lot of people watch tonight. It'll be a fun one.”
