The Sacramento Kings had a promising 2018-19 campaign, barely missing out on the playoffs. In 2019-20, Kings forward Marvin Bagley III claims that the team will be an even bigger threat.

“We have a lot of talent in Sacramento,” Bagley told Jordan Ramirez of Kings.com.

“We added some more good pieces that will help us get over that hump that we were stuck at. It's going to very scary for a lot of teams in the NBA next year. I'm excited to group up with these guys and get this chemistry going, start fresh and continue where we left off.”

The Kings made four free-agent acquisitions this summer, signing Dewayne Dedmon, Trevor Ariza, Cory Joseph and Richaun Holmes. Although none of these names really stand out, they are solid rotation players that should help the team improve.

Dedmon has proven that he is capable of being a stretch five, and he will probably take the starting spot of Willie Cauley-Stein. Meanwhile, Trevor Ariza brings veteran experience and another floor spacer to the already hot-shooting Kings.

Richaun Holmes is a solid bench big, while Joseph is another player with championship experience.

Overall, the Kings have built a well-rounded roster. If De'Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield and Bagley take another step and improve their game, the team has a genuine chance at making a playoff appearance for the first time since 2006.
