Sacramento Kings teammates Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nemanja Bjelica have partnered with Vlade Divac in an effort to donate medical supplies to hospitals battling COVID-19 in their native Serbia.

According to a report from NBA.com, Divac’s foundation – the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation – will fund the purchase of much needed ventilators, medical-grade masks and supplies to support hospitals and medical institutions.

“I am inspired by all those across the NBA and around the world who have given back to individuals hardest hit by this crisis, which is why it was important to me to support the people back home by providing these supplies to help save lives,” Bogdanovic said of his decision to donate, via NBA.com. “I want to thank the brave medical professionals who are working hard every day to treat everyone affected by the coronavirus. I know that soon we will get through this difficult time together.”

Divac, who hails from Prijepolje, Serbia, noted that he is humbled by the opportunity to help during his uncertain time:

“Ana and I are humbled by this opportunity to join my fellow Kings in sending ventilators, masks and supplies to assist the heroes and patients back home as we face this battle together,” the Kings front office guru said.

The NBA decided to suspend the 2019-20 regular season in mid-March due to growing concerns with the coronavirus. Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert became the first confirmed case in the league on March 11. His teammate, Donovan Mitchell, tested positive shortly after. Since then, several other players and staffers around the league have contracted the virus.

At this point, it's not clear when (or if) play will resume. Some have speculated that games might be played later this year, but nothing has been confirmed.
