The New York Knicks have received a much-needed boost in the form of starting shooting guard Courtney Lee being available to play against the Toronto Raptors despite experiencing some cramping in his hamstring in his last game against the Utah Jazz.

Per USA Today’s Steve Popper:

One other early Knicks note – Courtney Lee said he's fine and will play tonight after cramping in his hamstring Wednesday and getting kneed late.

Lee's availability should be very good news for the Knicks, as the veteran guard has been on quite a hot streak of late. He’s averaging 18 points while going 10-of-16 on three-pointers over his last three games. He had 19 points and seven rebounds while playing a season-high 39 minutes against the Jazz.

Lee is having a strong season overall and has been integral to the Knicks' early success. The 32-year-old is averaging 11.6 points in 32.6 minutes while shooting a sizzling 47 percent from beyond the arc, which is top 15 in the NBA.

The Knicks don’t really have the depth at shooting guard to cover for Lee if he did miss out against the Raptors. Tim Hardaway Jr. would most likely need to fill in at shooting guard while Doug McDermott and Lance Thomas take up Hardaway’s minutes at small forward.
