The New York Knicks are expected to be major players in this summer's free agency market, where guys like Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard are going to be available, and Fox Sports' Chris Carter wants both players to consider playing together in The Big Apple.

Durant, who's playing for the Golden State Warriors and Leonard, the star of the Toronto Raptors, still have a chance of winning a championship this season as both their teams are still in the playoffs. The Warriors have just made it to the NBA Finals for the fifth consecutive year, while the Raptors are two wins away from making it there for the first time in the franchise's history.

It is still a possibility that they could meet in the NBA's grandest stage.

However, Carter has made some good points with his idea. Multiple reports have circulated over the past months that Durant is almost a lock to join the Knicks. Meanwhile, Leonard spent time in New York last year to recover from his injury, and he's been comfortable with the city.

This is the first time that someone suggested a Durant-Leonard pairing in New York, as the latter is usually associated with either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Los Angeles Clippers. However, the Knicks are the only team that can offer them max contracts without having to make any adjustments or trades, which means that New York will have the advantage this summer.

Of course, money won't be the primary reason for Durant, Leonard, or any free agent to join the Knicks. If they feel that they can win in New York, then that's most likely going to seal the deal. If not, they could just go elsewhere and leave the Knicks empty-handed once again.
