New York Knicks head coach David Fizdale has come under fire in recent weeks due to the sluggish start that his team got off to this season. Though they've struggled, Fizdale has been receiving votes of confidence from team owner James Dolan, according to a report from Ian Begley of SNY.

Speculation over Fizdale's job security came to a boil when the the Knicks suffered an embarrassing loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers last week. Team president Steve Mills and GM Scott Perry held an impromptu press conference following the 21-point setback. New York has recovered a bit since then (2-2 since the presser), and the dust seems to be settling.

“Every game, every game. Jim Dolan comes in and gives me a vote of confidence, a pat on my back and really has just been incredibly encouraging over the last year and a half or whatever it's been,” Fizdale said, via SNY. “All we talk about is just sticking to the process of making these guys better and building for a future of sustainable winning.”

Still, the Knicks are holding a 4-10 overall record through the early stages of this season. This is not what the team had in mind at the beginning of this campaign, considering the fact that they landed RJ Barrett with the No. 3 overall pick. Expectations were higher than usual.

The Knicks will be back in action on Wednesday night, when they'll travel to Philadelphia for a macthup against the Sixers. Tip-off inside the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
