This is interesting. New York Knicks center Joakim Noah was spotted in Santa Monica… stripping down to his birthday suit per TMZ. He was leaving a boutique and decided the middle of the street was a good place to change his clothes. Rather than heading back in and using the bathroom or a dressing room, the Knicks big man chose the street for his clothing change.
Noah has always been eccentric, but it seems like he gets weirder and weirder by the day. Noah is seen smiling as he strips butt-naked in front of his Porsche. The 6-foot-11 big man was anything but inconspicuous.
But perhaps Noah is just looking for attention at this point. The former Florida Gator was exiled by the New York Knicks last season and his role on David Fizdale's squad is relatively unclear ahead of next season.
The former Defensive Player of the Year has been a major bust in New York and his albatross of a contract is weighing heavy on the Knicks front office. They could be looking for every possible opportunity to ship Noah somewhere else and move on from him.
In two seasons in New York, Noah has only played 53 games and has averages of 4.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Not exactly the kind of production the Knicks were expecting when they inked Noah to four years and $72.5 million.
Despite falling out of the news for his basketball prowess, Noah remains in the news for other reasons. This time the reason is all too strange.
