Cam Reddish sought a bigger role with the Atlant Hawks and instead got a trade to the New York Knicks. He hasn't gotten the chance to make his Knicks debut and team up with his former college teammate, RJ Barrett, to help the Knicks regain control of their season.

Reddish was traded to New York despite having an ankle sprain, forcing him to be on the sideline for his first four games as a Knick. Things are finally starting to look up for him, though. He said to reporters that he is healthy and is hopeful to play on Sunday against the LA Clippers.

Reddish being able to return ahead of back-to-back games would be huge for the Knicks. However, it's not a guarantee. Head coach Tom Thibodeau is very stubborn with his rotations and won't just fling Reddish into the game for the sake of it, even if he is fully ready. Although Reddish spoke positively of Thiboeau, nice words don't earn playing time.

Reddish has intriguing scoring skills that can help take the pressure off of Julius Randle. The Knicks need some jolt of energy to get them going again. Although the team may take a cautious approach with Reddish returning, they should try to get him going as soon as possible.

New York will host the Clippers for a matinee at Madison Square Garden tomorrow before hitting the road and facing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
