Like a lot of teams around the NBA landscape, the New York Knicks are still searching for players who might bolster their lineup for the coming season. And with the 2018-19 regular season just around the corner, the Knicks have filled the 20th spot on their training camp roster, adding Tyrius Walker to an Exhibit 10 contract.

Walker's agency, You First Sports, shared the news:

Walker made three appearances with the Knicks in this year's Summer League, racking up averages of 6.3 points on 43 percent shooting from the field, 2.0 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.7 steals in 11.3 minutes per outing.

Walker likely won't make the regular-season roster, but he could easily wind up on New York's G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks.

At 6-foot-1, Walker had a hard time getting some of the bigger colleges to look his way. If the Atlanta, Georgia native manages to make the Knicks' regular-season roster at any point, he'd be just the second Morehouse College grad to make the NBA.

“Whoever doesn’t give him an opportunity will regret it, in my opinion,” Morehouse College head coach Grady Brewer told The Undefeated in July. “I’ve coached professional basketball players: Elmore Spencer, Harold Ellis, Larry Lewis — the latter two were from Morehouse. I kind of got an idea of people who have it, and I think Tyrius has it.”

Walker scored 22.8 points per game in his final college season.
