The Los Angeles Lakers may have fallen short this season, but last year's NBA title in the bubble was a huge thrill for the entire organization. As for the Miami Heat, their surprising run to the finals was also a treat to watch. However, Charles Barkley doesn't think any of it was valid.

Barkley recently appeared on The Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotz and gave his true feelings on the Lakers' championship in 2020, via ClutchPoints:

As if the Lakers aren't already pissed off enough they were eliminated in the first round. Now, Barkley is saying their title basically didn't count. The bubble definitely changed things though. For example, the Bucks were on fire before the league was shut down. When Giannis and co. returned, Milwaukee was ice cold.

But, the Lakers did play well all season long last year and clearly were the team to beat. As for Miami, you can't take anything away from them, either. One could say things were just a whole lot different with all teams in Orlando playing without fans and such, but it's still playoff basketball.

Los Angeles had to win four series to lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy. It's not fair to take that away from LeBron James and Anthony Davis, to be honest. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion and clearly, Barkley thinks the Lakers and Heat were frauds.
