The Los Angeles Lakers dropped their home game against the Philadelphia 76ers, 121-105, Tuesday night. As crazy as it may sound, the game itself very well served as a break from the bigger story that is Anthony Davis. That said, Josh Hart gave his reaction to the brewing blockbuster as if he had no clue about the trending story that's sweeping the NBA.

Via Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints:

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t pay attention to the media stuff.”

While Hart's words may come as a surprise to some, they actually make sense if one reads between the lines. It's highly likely that the sophomore guard wants to avoid the risk of tampering, hence, the reaction.

Plenty has been said about Davis' situation and most of it concern the Lakers. And armed with the understanding that the headway brought by Rich Paul's announcement best serves Los Angeles, the pressure is now on the Lakers' front office to avoid another Paul George or Kawhi Leonard-like situation from happening again.

Hart has carved himself a niche in his one and a half years, thus far, for the team as a workhorse and steady backcourt presence. His hard work has definitely endeared him to the Lakers and its fanbase, but it also makes him an appealing piece in a potential offer to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Each member of the Lakers' young core will be on their toes leading to the trade deadline, and that includes Hart.
