The watchful cameras of TMZ Sports recently caught up with Los Angeles Lakers veteran Kent Bazemore and it was an opportunity for them to ask the 32-year-old about his future in the league. When asked if he'd like to run it back with LeBron James and the Lakers next season, Baze had a straightforward response.

According to the 6-foot-4 swingman, he's very much interested in signing a new deal with the Lakers:

“What I’ll say is nothing ain’t much better than being a Laker, right?” Bazemore said (h/t Sam Leweck of Lakers Daily). “So, getting to see Kob numbers on the wall every day I went to practice was good inspiration for me. … There’s nothing like it, man.”

Bazemore joined the Lakers last summer on a one-year deal and he's going to be a free agent in the summer. It is clear that he would relish the opportunity to run it back with LeBron and Co. next season in spite of the forgettable campaign the Lakers had in 2021-22. It remains to be seen, however, if LA wants him back or if they would rather let him walk away.

In 39 games played last season, Bazemore put up averages of 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 14.0 minutes per contest.
