LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers host the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center Thursday night, and purple and gold legend Kobe Bryant will be in attendance.

Kobe Bryant, arguably the greatest player to have ever played for the Lakers, is participating in a season ticket holder event. It will be the first Laker game Kobe has attended in the LeBron James era.

What a scene this is going to be. Two of the best players in NBA history in the same building. Kobe Bryant watching LeBron James play in a gym and uniform he dominated in for years. Expect Twitter to go bananas over this. Kobe and LeBron fans have never gotten along on the internet, and that rivalry has only intensified now that James is on the Lakers.

When LeBron James initially signed with the Lakers, a local artist in Los Angeles painted a few murals of James, and some Laker fans vandalized them. The motive was unclear, but it’s been assumed the people who ruined the artwork were fans of Kobe Bryant. Some of the fans took exception to the fact that one of the murals said “LeBron is the King of L.A.”

LeBron James will never surpass Kobe Bryant's legacy with the franchise. He won't even come close to doing it. Kobe Bryant won five championships with the Lakers and he scored a whopping 60 points in his final NBA game at Staples Center.
