LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers managed to one-up Luka Doncic and the young guns of the Dallas Mavericks as they outscored them last night. However, the biggest highlight of the night for some fans was the precious interaction between Doncic and Kobe Bryant.

The media asked about his interaction with the Black Mamba, and his revelation would definitely remind Kobe fans why they just love their future first-ball Hall of Famer.

Ben Golliver of the Washington Post was one of the first to share the news.

The fact that Bryant took the time to learn Slovenian just so he could talk to Doncic in his mother tongue is nothing short of impressive. It just goes to show how big of a player Dallas' Wonder Boy has become in only his second year of play.

However, hardcore Kobe fans would know that this is just a part of what their idol could do. He's fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, so knowing a bit of conversational Slovenian is part and parcel of being Kobe Bean Bryant.

Moreover, Jusuf Nurkic also uses language to get into the heads of his opponents. Per Fadeaway World:

“He’s shooting the free throws (Kobe), and I’m out there like: ‘Nobody can even touch him, how is that possible?’ Whole night he was shooting free throws. He actually said a word in my language. I’m I was like, ‘I didn’t really hear right. He can’t speak my language!’ Then we go back and forward, and he goes again to [shoot] free throws. And he repeats that! It was [a] curse word! I was like, ‘I’m pretty sure he said that!’”

This instance between the two only goes to show that game respects game. However, it seemed like he got into Luka's head as he finished with a paltry stat line of 19 points,  four rebounds, seven assists, and two steals during their 95-108 loss.
