Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma expressed his disappointment on Twitter with the cancellation of championship parades amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

His reaction was prompted after another Los Angeles squad in the Dodgers recently won the 2020 World Series title in Major League Baseball and ended a 32-year long championship drought for the franchise.

The victory came just two weeks after the Purple and Gold have successfully snagged the franchise's 17th title in the 2020 NBA Finals.

The Michigan native also alluded to the tweet posted by Lakers teammate LeBron James on his desire to have parades to celebrate the recent victories of both championship squads.

Despite James' intentions to have a chance to celebrate with their fans, it is highly unlikely due to the ongoing pandemic which already puts the area as one of the hotbeds of the coronavirus with a total tally of 302,000 positive cases and counting. Having a parade will only worsen that number.

The city also saw a recent rise in positive coronavirus cases in Los Angeles after the Lakers' successful title run where over a thousand individuals were caught celebrating in the streets of Los Angeles without observing proper safety protocols.

For the meantime, both the Lakers and the Dodgers will have to celebrate their victories on their own until it is safe to publicly do so.

Regardless if they will have a parade or not, both teams definitely have something to look forward to on the flip side for the coming seasons with their successful ascend to the top of their respective leagues.
