Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has been putting in the work during this offseason and with the help of none other than franchise icon Kobe Bryant.

The up-and-coming Lakers young star went to work with The Black Mamba, hoping to elevate his game that much more after a breakthrough rookie season.

“Yeah I did,” Kyle Kuzma told Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet when asked if he had worked out with Bryant. “It went really well. That's one of my mentors and I kinda look up to him and asked him for advice as much as I can. The workout with him was great.”

Kuz was later asked if he had some Big Boy steaks with Kobe Bryant, a chain he's been known to favor over the years. But the new Kyle Kuzma is now a pescatarian, so no more meat for him as he cleans up his diet heading into his second season.

The Michigander put up an impressive 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in his rookie season, while shooting a respectable 36.6 percent from three, now hoping to polish the rough edges with the help of one of the most detail-oriented players in the history of the league — help that should bode well as the new-look Lakers tackle their playoff aspirations.
