We just couldn't get enough of LeBron James these days.

The four-time MVP finally got to try on his new Los Angeles Lakers jersey, and the purple and gold threads appeared to fit him perfectly.

It seems like James can't get enough of his new team and their threads either. In his Instagram story, James posted pictures of him in the historic Lakers jersey, giving his fans the long-awaited first look of the #23 minted on the purple and gold. The Lakeshow players will be wearing newly-designed jerseys next season. With hopes of reviving the spirit of the Showtime Lakers of the 80s and 90s, the team has unveiled threads with designs and structure similar to the classic jerseys.

As posted by the official Twitter account of the team, these are the designs of the home and away jerseys for the team:

It's not hard to recognize that the round necklines and the font effects of the letters and numbers depict that of what Magic Johnson and company used to wear during the Showtime era.

With Johnson joining the Lakers' top ranks, he has completely re-constructed the Lakers roster this offseason. Obviously, the team's biggest catch is still LeBron. But under-the-radar signings of court general Rajon Rondo and playmaker Lance Stephenson provided more versatility for the team to be successful in today's pace-and-space oriented offense.

Lakers coach Luke Walton has his work cut out for him as he figures out how to balance minutes and lineups. The team is loaded in the wing and there are even talks of the Lakers' own version of the death lineup with James slotted in the center position.
