Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss received a letter telling her to go to hell with Kobe Bryant. The letter contained racist and misogynistic epithets. Upon seeing the letter on Instagram, Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James showed his support for Buss.

Via Dave McMenamin of ESPN:

LeBron James shared Buss' post on his Instagram story on Friday, with two messages of his own: “LOVE YOU JEANIE!!!” surrounded by two hearts and a middle finger emoji directed at the author of the letter, Joe.

The Lakers had Friday off for Juneteenth, which is a holiday that commemorates the end of slavery.

This is an awful letter Buss received. However, the Lakers owner handled it the proper way and clearly has the support of her best player.

LeBron and the Lakers will be among the 22 teams partaking in the “bubble” games down in Orlando, Florida. The Purple and Gold have the best record in the Western Conference and are one of the favorites to win the 2020 title with James and fellow superstar Anthony Davis leading the charge.

The Lakers will face either the Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns or San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the 2020 playoffs.
