Bronny James is entering a new chapter in his professional life. It was announced earlier Sunday that the 15-year old son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has officially turned pro as he signed for FaZe Clan – a professional esports and gaming organization also based in LA.

The announcement was made Sunday afternoon by FaZe Clan over at Twitter:

It's no question that Bronny James has shown incredible potential on the court playing for Sierra Canyon High School. He's also ranked #24 in ESPN's top 25 2023 recruits. On his time off the court though, Bronny has also been huge online streaming games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and even NBA 2k which has garnered him quite the online following. The 15-year old already has over 300,000 followers on Twitch and 4.3 million followers in TikTok.

But, the young Bronny also made it clear that his new virtual gig wouldn't derail his ultimate goal of entering the NBA.

“Me joining faze don't change anything. Don't think its sweet, I'm still locked, coming for heads.” James posted on his Instagram Stories.

With his signing to the e-sports team, Bronny now joins other basketball athletes who also dabble in the e-game world as part of the FaZe Clan. Some notable NBA players who are known to be heavily into e-sports are fellow Lakers teammates' Kyle Kuzma. Miami Heat forward Meyers Leonard also joined the pro team last year as well as Philadelphia 76ers superstar Ben Simmons who also just recently announced that he has invested in the group.
