Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James holds a 4-0 record as team captain in the NBA All-Star Game. He credited luck as one of the major reasons for his impressive streak. And from the looks of it, he wants to remain undefeated forever.

Per Sanjesh Singh of Lakers Nation, LeBron wants to retire from being NBA All-Star Game team captain to keep his immaculate record. He knows the league might not allow him but it's a wish that he wants to be granted.

“I hope that they allow me to retire from being an All-Star captain, so I can retire with a perfect 4-0 record. I’ll keep that forever. But we’ll just see what happens. I always try to pick the right team, and I’ve been lucky enough for four years to pick the right team. Guys go out and compete and play to win. I’ve been on the winning side of all four.”

LeBron, who is having another MVP year, has been team captain since the 2018 NBA All-Star Game as he continues to be the top vote-getter wherever he goes. Naming a team captain and asking him to draft teammates has been a successful effort by the NBA to mix things up a bit inthe midseason showcase. Instead of the usual East vs. West, the NBA adopted a similar format used in the NHL All-Star Game.

In 2018, LeBron won against Stephen Curry's team. In 2019 and 2020, he beat Giannis Antetokounmpo's squad back to back, and last Sunday, The King's crew dominated Kevin Durant's team.

Whether LeBron James was kidding or not, it's always nice to have any sort of undefeated streak in your resume.
