Everyone knows Shannon Sharpe is a big fan of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, so it came as no surprise when the Fox Sports analyst blasted Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers' title chances.

In a recent episode of Undisputed, Sharpe was asked how much he fears the Clippers in a scale of one to 10. In the ultimate show of disrespect, the LeBron superfan said “1” because LA “will always be a Laker town.” Sharpe proceeded to troll Steve Ballmer and Leonard, who is currently nursing an injury.

The Clippers are undoubtedly one of the biggest threats to the Lakers' title hopes; however, that is only if Kawhi Leonard is present and healthy. The 30-year-old swingman is currently recovering from an ACL injury he sustained during the 2021 playoffs, and it is still not clear when and if he'll be able to play this 2021-22 season.

As for the Lakers, they have retooled well in the offseason. Aside from getting Russell Westbrook in a blockbuster trade, they also added Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, DeAndre Jordan, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Rajon Rondo, Kendrick Nunn, Malik Monk and Kent Bazemore to the roster.

While there are concerns about their age, there is no doubt there is no other team as deep as the Lakers–at least on paper.

With the injury to Leonard and his uncertain future, the Clippers will certainly have a hard time keeping up with the rest of the West powerhouses (not only the Lakers). And while Shannon Sharpe might be bias about his assessment, Ballmer and Co. certainly have reasons to be worried about Leonard's condition and their title hopes that hinges on him and All-Star running mate Paul George.
