Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady certainly know a thing or two when it comes to defying Father Time.

The two ageless wonders of basketball and football exchanged some playful online banter regarding retirement.

The hilarious exchange began when James was quoted as saying that him and Brady are one in the same, and that they will both play until can no longer walk any more.

The 42-year-old six-time Super Bowl champion and four-time Super Bowl MVP retweeted James’ quote on Friday, adding a hilarious caption regarding his supposed basketball skills.

James, of course, took it in stride and added a comical response of his own.

James and Brady have established themselves as the poster boys for their respective sports over the years. Their greatness, consistency, and career longevity has often been compared by fans and remains as the gold standard for professional athletes.

In his 20th season in the NFL, Brady has thrown for 2,536 yards, 14 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

James, meanwhile, is till raking in MVP-like numbers in his 17th season in the NBA. He is averaging 23.9 points, eight rebounds, and a league-high 11.1 assists per game, while leading the Lakers to the best record in the Western Conference at the moment.

James recently teased his quarterback chops, throwing an impressive spiral pass to Anthony Davis during warm ups of their match versus the Charlotte Hornets last month.
