Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball recently had issues with Big Baller Brand, the sports apparel company currently being run by LaVar Ball. Lonzo reportedly severed ties with it and is contemplating on signing with Nike this summer.

While Ball said he may still have a business relationship with his father, he will focus more of his attention on getting healthy and getting better:

Ball, the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft, has been hampered by injuries over the past two seasons. He only played 52 games during his rookie year and 47 games this season due to various health issues.

After suffering an ankle injury late in January, the Lakers reportedly expressed concerns regarding Ball's shoes, which were being manufactured and produced by BBB at that time. But the 21-year-old guard assured them that team that his injuries had nothing to do with his shoes. He then promised to work on strengthening his lower body to hopefully lessen the risk of injuries.

Ball hasn't announced anything about what brand he will be signing with next, but Nike appears to be his next destination.

LaVar will likely focus on making younger sons LiAngelo and LaMelo the face of Big Baller Brand, assuming it doesn't fold.
