The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly sending a big contingent to Philadelphia on Thursday for Monty Williams' second interview for the head coaching job, according to Bill Oram and Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Williams is currently game planning for the Toronto Raptors, the Sixers' second-round opponent in the playoffs:

Williams is also being pursued by the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers have met with Williams, former Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue and former Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks coach Jason Kidd.

The Lakers have a big summer ahead of them. Not only do they have to find the right head coach, but they still need to find a new president of basketball operations and sign star free agents in free agency.

Los Angeles is projected to have around $36 million in cap space. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard and Kemba Walker are all set to become unrestricted free agents on July 1. The Lakers are in desperate need to acquire another superstar to pair alongside LeBron James.

Williams was the head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans from 2010-15. He went 173-221 during the regular season and 2-8 in the postseason. Williams does have a close relationship with Anthony Davis. The Lakers are widely expected to try to trade for Davis again this summer after failing to acquire him at the February trade deadline.
