Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James injured his groin during the Lakers' win over the Golden State Warriors on Christmas and has been sidelined ever since.

Both James and the Lakers have been suspiciously cryptic about the injury, leading many to believe that James' issue is more severe than originally thought. Head coach Luke Walton was asked about James' status on Tuesday and while he was not entirely definitive in his answer, he did say that he expects a positive report on Wednesday.

Now, like everything else concerning LeBron's health throughout these past few weeks, that is ambiguous. What does “good news” mean? Does it mean that James will be back in a week? Does it mean that James doesn't need surgery? Does it mean he is expected back sometime this season?

No one really knows, but we do have a short video clip of James doing some shooting drills on Tuesday.

Judging from that video, James is probably not all that close to returning. Yes, it is only a 12-second clip, but James looks like he is moving around very gingerly and is barely even getting any lift on his jump shot.

Of course, this could just be LeBron being cautious, but if he isn't doing anything too strenuous in terms of drills yet it's probably going to be a little while before we see him actually return to live-game action. The 34-year-old is averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.3 steals over 34.6 minutes per game while shooting 51.8 percent from the floor, 35.6 percent from three-point range and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.
