The Los Angeles Lakers finally got another superstar for LeBron James when they acquired Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans last week. The Purple and Gold paid a hefty price to get AD, but the franchise is optimistic it will all be worth it. Magic Johnson is, too.

The former Lakers executive believes that LeBron and AD will have no problems coexisting for the Lakers. Magic Johnson recently spoke about the two being able to give each other the space they need to play to the best of their abilities.

LeBron has already proven to Magic Johnson and everyone else that he can dominate even with a team that has multiple All-Stars. He led the Miami Heat to two NBA titles despite playing with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, who were both in their primes from 2010-2014. He also dominated for the Cleveland Cavaliers while playing with superstars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. They won a title in 2016.

With the Lakers, James will definitely allow AD to get his usual numbers because that will benefit him as well. Of course, he's already 34 years old, and having someone who can dominate on both ends of the floor will definitely take most of the burden off LeBron's shoulders. Magic Johnson knows this.

It is worth noting that L.A. is not done wheeling and dealing, which means that it's still possible for the Lakers to land a third superstar in free agency.

If that happens, LeBron will be able to play with less pressure next season, but don't expect him to slack off. He promised the city of Los Angeles that he will win a title with the Lakers, and that's what he will try to do next season.
