Michael Beasley of the Los Angeles Lakers points to his professionalism after a recent breakout performance.

Beasley scored 14 points in 13 minutes in the Lakers' 120-96 win over the Phoenix Suns. His performance comes in after seeing little-to-no action prior to Sunday night. Per Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints, Beasley says that he's always ready.

The 29-year-old shot at an efficient 6-of-9 from the field, along with a make from 3-point country. He also got four rebounds and one assist. For head coach Luke Walton, Beasley's breakout game signifies that the Lakers have a deep team.

This is great news for Michael Beasley — the second overall pick back in 2008. He showed promise in his first three years in the league, averaging as much as 19.2 points per game. But in the succeeding years, Beasley found himself jumping from team to team and even had a stint in China with the Shanghai Sharks.

Last season, he showed that he still has a lot of game left in his system. With the New York Knicks, Michael Beasley averaged 13.2 points and 5.6 rebounds in 22.3 minutes of action. He played 74 games, 30 of which were part of the starting line up.
