The Los Angeles Lakers recently acquired veteran big man Marc Gasol to bolster their lineup ahead of the 2020-2021 NBA season. On that note, his older brother Pau also hinted at his desires for a possible reunion with the Purple and Gold as he recently liked a tweet saying that the Lakers should sign him as well, as per Hoop Central.

Pau Gasol spent the best years of his longstanding career donning the Lakers jersey during his stint with the team from 2008 to 2014. He played alongside the late Lakers icon Kobe Bryant where they amassed three-straight trips to the NBA Finals and won two consecutive championships together.

As a Laker, he managed to snag two of his six total All-Star appearances and also garnered three All-NBA selections along the way. After becoming a free agent by the end of the 2013-2014 season, Gasol packed his bags and headed to the Chicago Bulls where he would stay until the 2015-2016 season.

The end of his tenure in Windy City saw him relocate to the San Antonio Spurs where he managed to play until the 2018-19 season before agreeing to a contract buyout with the team. He found himself signing with the Milwaukee Bucks afterward where he appeared for only three games until he suffered a severe foot injury.

His latest stint came with the Portland Trail Blazers who previously signed him to a contract but eventually waived him four months later without playing a single game for the club.

Although his potential reunion with the Lakers franchise will most likely be ceremonial, Pau Gasol still hopes to put a fitting end to his eventful career and ultimately cement his imprint on the team.
