If there's one profound thing the deeply compelling history of humanity has taught us, it's this: Russell Westbrook is gonna Russell Westbrook.

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers got the full Russell Westbrook Experience after escaping the Miami Heat in overtime, 120-117, in what should easily be the game of the season. Calling the ending “crazy” would be an understatement. Like calling Russell Westbrook just Russell Westbrook.

The former MVP made critical buckets for the Lakers against the Heat, draining two shots in the final minute of the final quarter. He, however, bricked what could've been a massive three-pointer in the dying seconds, sending the game into an extension.

According to ESPN Statistics & Information, Westbrook has had a fairly unpredictable time in clutch situations. Which isn't actually really surprising.

Westbrook finished with yet another triple-double, tallying 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists on top of two blocks and one steal. But as he's done all season, he also turned the ball eight times. Luckily for the Lakers, his errors didn't totally cost them the game, improving to 7-5.

The former UCLA standout has been less than stellar in his first dozen games for the Lakers, prompting some impatient fans to call for a trade. His performance against the Heat, however, could make them rethink their wish.

It's no secret that with Russell Westbrook, you get what you can get. So far, the Lakers have been getting a lot of Russell Westbrook. Doesn't make sense? Well, nothing does when it comes to Russell Westbrook.
