The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to adhere Kyle Kuzma as a vital piece to the roster, something they expected to do before a summer-long injury kept him out of the hardwood for the opening portion of the season. Yet his measly averages of 11.1 points and 3.4 rebounds through 20 games this season have left people wondering if he's a good fit with this roster, including head coach Frank Vogel.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst said as much during a guest appearance in The Bills Simmons Podcast of The Ringer, even spitballing the chance that Kuzma could be traded at some point or another.

“This is why I think Kuzma is struggling,” said Windhorst. “People are talking about Kuzma's stats, his most important stat is his minutes played. Because Vogel doesn't think he's a good fit.

“If you look at the history of LeBron the last 12 years, two kinds of people have played with LeBron as complementary pieces: shooters and defenders.”

Simmons quickly moved the conversation into trade mode, saying “the move is to trade Kuzma,” to which Windhorst opined a trade for the expiring contract of Bogdan Bogdanovic could make sense.

One could argue Bogdanovic's stock is much higher than Kuzma's at this point, set to reel in millions more than his qualifying offer in the summer.

The 24-year-old Kuzma is shooting a career-low 43.3% from the field and 69.2% from the foul line while hitting a respectable, but unimpressive 36.0% from deep. Kuzma's defensive contributions have also plummetted even more by playing 10 minutes less in Vogel's system, averaging a mere 0.4 blocks and 0.3 steals, despite having a long, athletic frame to use for that purpose.
