Los Angeles Lakers swingman Kyle Kuzma is ready to prove the doubters wrong.

Kuzma and Puma launched a new commercial in which the former first-round pick addresses the critics and said he is motivated by the doubters and naysayers.

The ad features a number of negative tweets and comments from some of Kuzma's detractors. He aptly concludes the spot by thanking his critics for the motivation.

Kyle Kuzma tweeted out the ad on Friday:

The Lakers might have captured the NBA title this past season, but there is no question it was a trying year for Kuzma individually.

Kyle Kuzma had established himself as a foundational piece for the Lakers in his first two seasons. He averaged 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds as a rookie before posting 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in his sophomore campaign.

The former Utah product's success essentially made him the only guy the Lakers were not comfortable dealing in the trade to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. Of course, Davis' arrival also altered the complexion of the roster.

Kuzma looked like the starting small forward entering the year. However, he suffered an injury during preseason and was eventually forced to come off the bench. The 25-year-old had spurts of strong play and still averaged 12.8 points despite a decline in minutes. But Kuzma also left fans wanting more.

The Lakers appeared open to listening on Kuzma at the trade deadline, though they elected to retain the youngster. Rob Pelinka also said L.A. considers Kuzma to be part of the team's future.

Can Kyle Kuzma earn an extension? It would seem he has plenty to prove.
