Deshaun Watson is injured, but appears to be the franchise player the Houston Texans were hoping for. The Cleveland Browns, who are a debacle, despite drafting DeShone Kizer, are still looking to find such an amazing talent. Supposed Browns fan, and NBA megastar, LeBron James is apparently not happy the latter of the two franchises didn't snag what the former now has.
To put that in less complicated terms: Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James wanted Deshaun Watson to play for the NFL team in his home city.
“I think Deshaun Watson should be a Brown,” James said. “Doesn’t mean that Myles Garrett isn’t going to be a great football player. But Deshaun Watson should’ve been our quarterback. Doesn’t mean you’re [ripping] on the next guy. It’s just that you’re stating what you see.”
LeBron really loves to do the “I'm not putting down that guy, but this other guy is way better.” He literally just did this to the New York Knicks prior to Cleveland's game on Monday night.
Poor Kizer in this debacle, too. His head coach is constantly benching him without ever giving him a chance to play through some growing pains. He's one of the youngest players in the entire NFL, but here we are, with the city's most influential person openly talking about someone he rather have at the position.
“That has nothing to do with me,” Kizer said of LeBron’s opinion.
Man, feel for that kid. If you have a soul, understand what it must be like to hear LeBron James basically say “eh” about your role on the team.
