Mark Cuban took no chances. He signed Harrison Barnes to the agreed $94 million dollar max contract with the Dallas Mavericks directly at 12:01 a.m. on July 7, and he did it in style.

There was no way was he about to let his biggest free agent signing slip out of his hands because of carelessness… again.

Last summer Cuban made a verbal agreement with Deandre Jordan only for him to renege days later, leaving the Mavs scrambling to fill their roster holes with whatever was left over.

Cuban didn't forget about what happened, and playfully grabbed a picture of Barnes' handcuffed to general manager Donnie Nelson, while coach Rick Carlisle held the signed agreement.

They're all smiling, but taking a light-hearted shot at what happened with Jordan, signifying they learned from that experience.

Barnes is now officially a Dallas Maverick.
