Dallas Mavs star Jalen Brunson joined “Inside the NBA” to discuss the Mavericks' 119-109 Game 4 victory over the Warriors. Dallas's clutch victory keeps them alive for the moment. They still trail 3-1 in the series, but Brunson understands what the mindset needs to be moving forward.

The guard discussed the Mavs game plan following their win.

“The biggest thing that we took from this is that we got one game at a time,” Brunson said. “One game at a time… think of it as four game sevens. Win or go home.”

Dallas played well on Tuesday. The Warriors made a late run but the Mavs held on for the 10-point victory.

Luka Doncic led the charge for Dallas once again with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists. Jalen Brunson contributed 15 points on 5-12 shooting to go along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Brunson later discussed the key to winning on the road in Golden State.

“We just got to stick together. I mean, our defense is going to put us in a position to win games. Whether I'm making shots or not, we got to play defense no matter what. We're gonna get good looks, we've had so many open looks this whole series. We just gotta knock them down.”

Defense wins championships. The old adage rings true in this series. If the Mavs can contain the Warriors high-powered offense they will have a chance to win Game 5 on the road. And that would set up Game 6 in Dallas.

The Mavs are down but not out. Brunson and Doncic will look to lead an unprecedented series comeback.
