The Dallas Mavericks have stolen the headlines on Thursday after the departure of longtime head coach Rick Carlisle. Now, more tidbits have surfaced regarding the organization in Dallas, as ESPN insider Tim MacMahon joined Zach Lowe on The Lowe Podcast to discuss Carlisle and the Mavs.

In the episode, MacMahon gave a ton of insight, including the situation and ongoing drama between Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

“Poringis is not at all enjoying playing for Dallas,” MacMahon said on the podcast.

Yikes. That can not bode well for the future of the team regarding Porzingis. As it turns out, his contract is extremely difficult to trade, and if the Mavericks can't find a trade partner, he might have to stick around for at least another season and try and patch up the relationship with the franchise.

MacMahon added more later regarding the star duo in Dallas.

“Porzingis and Luka do not like each other.”

So, the relationship between everybody on the Mavs has taken a turn in recent days, and now the Mavs need a new head coach to lead their superstar talent in Doncic. As if the Carlisle bomb wasn't enough, there are far bigger issues to work out in Dallas and who knows what happens over the summer.

Who is next at the helm for Dallas? Who will Mark Cuban bring aboard in an attempt to patch things up and build a championship roster that won't waste away the prime years of superstar Luka Doncic?

This summer will be an interesting one in Dallas and there could be some roster shakeups coming as they look for a new coach and aim to make another deep run in the NBA Playoffs.
