The Golden State Warriors are hosting Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals series with the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night. Early on, Mavs superstar Luka Doncic was picking up where he left off against the Suns, hitting a couple quick buckets. Just a few minutes into the game though, things got physical, albeit not intentionally.

While dribbling near center court, Doncic crossed over Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins who stuck his arm out. Wiggins caught the Mavs forward across the face with his fingernail. Wiggins must have one heck of a fingernail, as it left a massive gash all the way across Doncic' cheek and nose.

Doncic however did not appear phased, as he proceeded to hit an and-one and then a shot from beyond the arc for eight early points. However, the Warriors would then do a better job contesting his looks and Doncic missed his next few shots.

The game is early in the second quarter with the Dallas Mavericks trailing by six points. Doncic has eight points on 3-for-8 shooting, the same mark as the other Mavs guard Jalen Brunson.

In order for Dallas to pull off the upset in this game and in this series, they are going to need efficiency from those two players. As a team, the Mavs have hit just 11 of 35 shots, for 31 percent. They should consider themselves lucky to only be down six considering those numbers.

That's especially true considering the Warriors are shooting 55 percent at 16-for-30. Wiggins leads all scorers thus far with 10 points.
