Every critic who said that the Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic will have a huge sophomore slump is happily eating his words. The Mavs star has wowed analysts, fans, and players alike with his mature brand of basketball. He continues to defy the odds as he plays like a grizzled vet in a young body.
He had another incredible game in spite of the Mavs' 106-102 loss to the New York Knicks. He finished with 38 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. While his eight turnovers turned out to be what killed the game for them, his on-court efforts were vital for the team
In fact, he's developed a knack for getting triple-doubles recently. He's been getting points, rebounds, and assists without any problem to the point that he joins another exclusive club with league legend Oscar Robertson.
Justin Kubatko reported this latest milestone in Luka's already-impressive career.

It's no small feat to be compared to an icon like the Big O. Robertson is a Hall of Famer who has been known to dominate the court the same way Luka does today. He gets buckets, grabs boards, and dish assists like nobody else's business. He's become an icon for many basketball historians.
It has to be noted that Doncic is still far from becoming one of the best players in the league. He's still young at 20 years old. There's still plenty of basketball to be played before he can be considered as one of the greats.
However, it doesn't seem like that's far away if we look at the way the Wonder Boy has been playing so far. Barring any injuries, he can easily become one of the best to ever lace them up.
