Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic was left in awe by Stephen Curry's performance during the Mavs' showdown with the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night.

Curry was simply unstoppable against the Mavs, as he finished with 48 points on top of six rebounds and five assists. The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player also knocked down 11 three-pointers to lead Golden State to a 119-114 victory over the Mavs at the American Airlines Center.

Following the game, Luka Doncic called Stephen Curry's performance as “nuts” because of how he made it look easy. The 19-year-old rookie added that Curry is simply unguardable most of the time.

“It's nuts,” Doncic said of Curry's performance via Tim MacMahon of ESPN. “He's a hell of a player. He does things you can't guard. It's just nuts what he does.”

Luka Doncic also showed tremendous poise against the star-studded Warriors squad. He finished with 26 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists. However, it was not enough to lead the Mavs to a win, as they allowed the Warriors to convert on 19 three-pointers.

But despite losing against the Warriors, Doncic earned praises from several Golden State players. Curry lauded Doncic for his performance, and how he has been turning heads in just his first season in the league. The superstar guard believes that Doncic has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA.

“He's unbelievable,” Curry said of Doncic via Brad Townsend of Dallas News. “You can tell he is experienced in terms of playing high-level basketball. He is a guy that is always at his own pace.”

Doncic, the third overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, is averaging 20.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game this season.
