Dallas Mavericks' superstar Luka Doncic dominated the Suns in Game 7 of the West Semifinals. Doncic led the Mavs to a lop-sided victory with his 35 point, 10 rebound, and 4 assist effort. He went 12-19 from the field while hitting six shots from beyond the arc. It was clear that he was unfazed by Phoenix's home crowd, as he even smiled mid-game after making some shots.

New Orleans Pelicans' star CJ McCollum shared his thoughts on why Luka Doncic seemed so calm in Game 7 on the road.

Wow luka. Wow. He been playing in games on the road with fires and flares going off in the stands. Police officers with AK’a separating the rows in the arena back in Europe. Road game with pressure isn’t really pressure to him. Killer performance

Is CJ McCollum exaggerating for effect? Maybe. But the point stands.

European basketball has a reputation for hostile environments. So the odds of Doncic being fazed by some taunting from the Suns' home crowd were slim to none. He is undoubtedly establishing a reputation as one of the more mentally tough players in the NBA.

It will be interesting to see how he fares in the Western Conference Finals when the Mavs head to Oracle Arena to take on the Warriors. Golden State is known for having one of the most passionate home atmospheres in basketball. Many road stars have crumbled under pressure against the Warriors.

But Luka Doncic is a different breed of tough. The Mavs' star should continue playing at an elite level despite the circumstances.
