The Ball family were once again part of a lot of headlines recently after LiAngelo Ball was arrested inside a Louis Vuitton shop in Hangzhou, China for shoplifting, together with two of his teammates from UCLA. After being detained, he was finally allowed to depart for the U.S., with president Donald Trump playing a huge part in it by giving Chinese president Xi Jinping a call for his release.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban gave his reaction on the development and followed it up with a hilarious response when asked what he expects the country's commander-in-chief will do after receiving a gift, possibly a pair of Big Baller Brand kicks, from LaVar Ball this Christmas.

“I can’t wait to see President Trump walking around the Oval Office in a Trump branded suit and the Big Baller Brand sneakers I’m sure LaVar will send him for Christmas!” Cuban, the owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, said in an email.

Over the past few months, especially after the elections, Mark Cuban has been vocal in making it known that he does not support Trump. He even had a fiery back-and-forth with the president's son on Twitter, after his plans to run for the presidency was mocked by Trump Jr.

The president may not wear the Big Baller Brand sneakers, and it's still an assumption if he'll receive a pair from LaVar Ball, but with how unorthodox the latter has been, and given his marketing stunts, it won't be surprising if he indeed sends some ZO2s to Donald Trump to thank him for helping his son, because the price of freedom definitely costs more than $495.
