According to a tweet on Saturday from ESPN's NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Dallas Mavericks plan to sign 23-year-old shooting guard Aaron Harrison to a second 10-day contract with the team.

Before he was signed by the Mavs to his first 10-day contract earlier this month, Harrison had played in 26 games over two seasons for the Charlotte Hornets after he went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft out of the University of Kentucky.

“I definitely want to impact the game so we can win,” Harrison said, via Dennis Varney of the Lexington Herald-Leader. “I think that’s the biggest thing, people in the league right now are looking for guys that will help the team win. And I think I can do that.”

Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle seems to be pretty impressed with what he sees so far based on what Harrison brings to his Dallas team.

“He’s a 2-guard that can shoot,” coach Carlisle said last week, via Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News. “I talked to Jeff Van Gundy, who coached him on the USA team (last summer). Jeff had positive things to say about him. … Aaron’s got the shot. Hopefully, he makes the most of it.”

In a 103-97 road win on Tuesday over the Sacramento Kings, Harrison started the game and had 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting, five rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot in 25 minutes of action.

Harrison and the Mavs (23-53) are off on Saturday and will travel to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers for Easter Sunday at Quicken Loans Arena.
