The New York Mets pulled off the unthinkable of Tuesday, securing a wild comeback win against the Miami Marlins as they scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. It was the perfect response after the fans voiced their displeasure with the team after the thumbs-down gesture, which Javier Baez played a huge part in.

Well, he made up for all the drama, jetting around the bases to score the winning run. However, as the Mets went bonkers with their celebration after the walk-off, the infielder apparently lost his earring. It appears the organization is going through all possible measures to find it, too:

Talk about in-depth. Getting the analytics team involved? You know it's for real. This reply from a Twitter user shows where it could've been lost:

The Mets were going absolutely nuts and Baez obviously didn't feel one of his diamond rocks missing. I mean, it's not like he can't afford another one, but it couldn't have gone far. Literally, everyone got involved, with GM Sandy Alderson and pitcher Carlos Carrasco staying on the diamond an hour after the game to search for the earring. The Mets ground crew also spent a ton of time looking for it.

Definitely one of the more interesting stories in the Majors. That's the price you pay for celebrating, I guess.
